How to use the HEIC to JPG
- Add one or more .heic or .heif photos.
- JPG is already selected as the output format. Adjust the quality if you want smaller files.
- Press “Convert”.
- Download each JPG or all of them as a ZIP.
Why iPhone photos are saved as HEIC
Since iOS 11, iPhones use the High Efficiency Image Format (HEIC) because it stores photos at roughly half the size of JPG with similar quality. The downside is compatibility: older versions of Windows, many web forms and some photo printing services only accept JPG or PNG.
Converting to JPG gives you a file that works almost everywhere, at the cost of a somewhat larger file size.
Bulk HEIC to JPG converter
Select dozens of HEIC photos at once – for example a whole album copied from your iPhone – and convert them in one batch. Download each JPG or press “Download All” to get them together in a ZIP file. There is no daily limit.
Open HEIC files on Windows and Android
Windows PCs and many Android phones cannot open HEIC without extra codecs or apps. Instead of installing software, open this page in Chrome or Edge, add the HEIC files and save them as JPG – they will then open in Photos, WhatsApp, Word and every website.
Convert HEIC to JPG and reduce size
JPG files are larger than HEIC. If you need a small file for an upload form, convert first and then use the Image Compressor to reduce the JPG to a size such as 100 KB or 200 KB.
Tips for better results
- Quality 85–92% keeps photos visually identical to the original (no visible quality loss) while keeping file sizes reasonable.
- If you only need the photo for email or messaging, try the Image Resizer afterwards to reduce the dimensions.
- To stop your iPhone creating HEIC files, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose “Most Compatible”.
Examples
- Upload iPhone photos to a government or university form that only accepts JPG.
- Share photos with someone using an older Windows PC.
- Send photos to an online printing service.
Frequently asked questions
Is this HEIC to JPG converter free?
Yes. It is free with no signup, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos.
Will converting HEIC to JPG reduce quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, but at the default 90% quality the difference is not visible in normal viewing.
How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows?
Open this page in Chrome or Edge, drag your .heic files into the box, press “Convert” and download the JPG files. No software installation is needed.
Can I convert many HEIC files at once?
Yes. Add as many photos as you like and download them all as one ZIP file.
Can I convert Live Photos?
The converter uses the still image stored in the HEIC file. The motion part of a Live Photo is a separate video and is not included.
Is photo location data (EXIF) kept?
No. The converted JPG does not include EXIF metadata such as GPS location, which is useful if you share photos publicly.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Open this page in Safari or Chrome on your iPhone, choose photos from your library, and download the JPG files.
