FLAC to MP3 Converter

FLAC files sound great but are large and not supported by every phone, car stereo or player. Convert FLAC to MP3 at 320 kbps for near-identical sound at a fraction of the size.

How to use the FLAC to MP3

  1. Add your .flac file.
  2. MP3 is preselected – choose 320 kbps for the best quality.
  3. Press “Convert” and download.

How much smaller is MP3?

A typical FLAC album track is 25–40 MB; the same track as a 320 kbps MP3 is about 8–10 MB, and at 192 kbps about 5–6 MB. Most listeners can’t tell 320 kbps MP3 from FLAC on everyday headphones.

How the converter works

Conversion runs in your browser with FFmpeg (WebAssembly), so your file is not uploaded. The first conversion downloads the converter engine (about 30 MB) once; files up to 500 MB are supported.
