How to use the AVIF to JPG

- JPG is preselected.
- Press “Convert” and download the result.
What is AVIF?
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is based on the AV1 video codec. It produces smaller files than JPG and WebP, which is why some websites use it. Support outside browsers is still limited, so converting to JPG is useful when you need to edit, print or upload the image elsewhere.
Your browser must be able to decode AVIF. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari (iOS 16+ / macOS 13+) can.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my AVIF fail to convert?
Older browsers cannot decode AVIF. Update your browser or try another one such as Chrome or Firefox.
Will the JPG be larger?
Yes, usually. AVIF compresses more efficiently than JPG.
